Design Journey

The main objective that I set out for myself while redesigning the website was to find the right balance between telling the brand’s story and portraying the website as an Ecommerce platform for buying the brand’s products. La Quiberonnaise already had a vintage illustration style that they were using, so I created a contemporary aquatic design theme to match that and to bring the whole website under one visual family. A deep blue header filled with design elements that evoked a feel of marine life, coupled with a unique footer anchored by a lovely illustration of a lighthouse, reeled in the website’s visual story to reflect the brand’s deep connection with seaside lifestyle.

After the project was completed, it was a sheer delight to see La Quiberonnaise incorporate the visual theme not just on its website, but also across its print and web media. It was also a special privilege and honour to help modernize the design of a brand that was founded a full century ago, in 1921.
