Design Journey
There are too many advertising agency websites to count, and the challenge when designing one is to find a way to make it stand out. Given a clean slate to revamp the company’s website with a fresh design perspective, I decided to use my illustration skills to reinvision the Exploseo website with more character and personality.
Creating illustrations of Exploseo’s core employees, I used these characters to guide the user-journey through a cleaner and smoother website experience in a more personalized manner. While the characters subtly introduced users to the company’s core team and services simultaneously, I chose a unique illustrative style and a soothing colour palette to make the whole user experience easy on the eye.
Color & font selection
The font and color I chose for Exploseo was one that was cohesive with the new design theme I created, one that reflected professionalism and style in a contemporary way.
Trying to find a clean blend of playful and professional, I spent a few days on finalizing the homepage as a theme for the rest of the website’s pages to follow. The main challenge was in creating the website and the brand’s new design guidelines simultaneously, which involved creating a design style that could later easily translate onto Exploseo’s print and media design.
Overall, the project was a true delight to work on since I enjoyed illustrating the team members (including myself :D). Being portrayed as the core element that they are on the design, made the website extra special to the entire Exploseo team.
